Struggling to build your executive or corporate coaching business?
Trying to figure out whether you’ve got what it takes to succeed?
Look no further.
CoachBiz101 will put you on the fast track to success!
Are you a great coach, yet struggling to survive in the coaching business? You’ve taken a course, you’ve sharpened your skills and you’re ready to build a business – but the clients don’t come. Why? Because being a great coach IS NOT ENOUGH to attract – and retain – great corporate coaching clients. CoachBiz101 explains why.
But I hate marketing! Sure, if you wanted to be a marketer you’d do that for a living, right? The fact is, as a business owner – whether it be a coaching business or any other kind – you have to know how to market your business to the people you want as clients. The good news? If you can attract a few great corporate clients AND you know how to manage the relationships effectively, you may never have to market again. CoachBiz101 explains how.
I’m working like a maniac – I’m not walking the work/life balance talk and I feel inauthentic! Manage your fees and your time effectively and you’ll soon be able to walk that talk – but don’t talk too much about it. CoachBiz101 explains why.
So how can you be one of the minority of corporate coaches that succeeds? How can you create a coaching business that attracts great clients, creates repeat business, allows you flexibility, and generates a great income?
You learn the “tricks of the trade” from someone who has been there, done that.
Be credible. I started my coaching business in 1996, when the profession was in its infancy. I’ve got a graduate business education and a track record of corporate success. My background has great value, because I know first hand how corporate clients make decisions and what their world is like — and that helps me connect with them.
Stand out. One of the things I understood going in was how hard it is to create a market that didn’t previously exist — it requires a lot of outreach and customer education. Over time that problem has shifted – there are now hordes of people trying to build corporate and executive coaching businesses and it’s harder than ever for the customer to know who to hire. You’ve got to have something that helps distinguish you from the wanna-be players.
Plan ahead. If you’re surviving from one client to the next you’ll always struggle. But if you’re managing your current client engagements so they continually create new opportunities, you’ll soon start to thrive.
I’m proud to say that I’ve been really successful in my coaching business – it’s grown by double digits every year and since 1998 has been the only thing I do to earn my living. And while I’ve often gotten calls from coaches wanting to understand how it all works, it seems the number of calls has increased dramatically over the past year or so.
So I finally decided to put it all into a very accessible program that offers aspiring or struggling corporate coaches the kind of information and support that you’re looking for.
Imagine there was a ‘The Apprentice’ show, but for coaches. Karen Wright would be your Donald Trump. But nicer, smarter and with better hair. I can attest to her wisdom and savvy nous because I regularly tap her brain to help with my business. You should too.
